Recently watched the incredibly interesting, though thoroughly depressing, documentary about the all-girl 70’s rock band, the Runaways, which originally consisted of Joan Jett, Cherie Curie, Sandy West, Lita Ford and Jackie Fox. Throughout all of the mess that surrounded that band and it’s management, Joan Jett always stands out as the tough one, the peace-maker, and the one with the most (albeit quiet) ferocity in the group. The fact that she overcame everything she dealt with in the Runaways and went on to make a name for herself gave me a lot of respect for the woman. …and she was kind of a fox:
